Using a paper towel tube, tape a paper funnel shape to one side and wrap a balloon around the other. Tape a straw to the tightly wrapped balloon. Elevate the tube with a box or other prop. Let the straw dip into a bowl of water. Scream or bang a pan near the funnel to see the water ripple on the other end. For bonus points, add labels to your ear drum diagram: Pinna, Auditory Canal, Tympanic Membrane, Auditory Ossicles (Bones; Hammer, Anvil, & Stirrup), Cochlea.
